I tried to invent a fursona for him and great dane was the only option in my opinion - anyone who seen him in real will understand. He's 207cm (6.8ft) tall and quite skinny at the same time. so for me great dane s perfect choice.

but Gabe was like "it doesn't have a beard so it's not me" :UUUU

I tried to draw a great dane with beard but it looked like a joke. of course a lion or bear would look good with more facial hair, but I simply like when fursona matches how the person behind looks in real life. just a bit.
