Oh my god, you are first person to ever draw flutter shy the way, I imagined she'd be. All the people always humanize her with a shorter skirt. But she's shy and she would hide her body with her clothes the same way she does with her hair in the pony show. And you actually accomplished this!! I'm amazed, congrats.

you might not be on the right part of the internet because there's bound to be many people who think the way you do (like that thought is pretty reasonable) and have drawn her as such
that's just your headcanon. it's like the pictures you saw of Fluttershy having a short skirt- what I mean by this is the artist's headcanon/thoughts would be that she'd have skirts short. horrible wording but yeah-- it doesn't mean that she'd actually do that. y'know, people are diverse and odd and stuff varies a lot- having a one characteristic trait doesn't really determine everything about them.

what i'm confused about is why you seem so amazed about this? like it's just a longer skirt. it ain't an accomplishment. anyone can draw lines so that they're longer

I've had so many conversations with other artists. And even me and my friend bought humanized pony art as a gift for someone, but they didn't end up taking it so we had it in our house to analyze and pick it apart. So i've spent more time then i should analyzing the pony personalities and the clothes people chose for them. I also took psychology, so that plays a major roll in why clothes and personality are so intertwined.

Anyway, me and my friend over the years have seen a lot of humanized ponies, and they all usually portray Fluttershy in clothes that just seem more appropriate for a "less-shy" personality. Sometimes more appropriate for Twilight or applejack, or pinkie pie. And we never tell the artists they are wrong, because we know its their own interpretation. But we've always longed to see an artist who got close to what we were thinking. And you've pretty much come the closest to what we had in our heads.

I want to agree with that person, though
Most pictures I see of Fluttershy are pervy pictures, where she's got a busty figure and short skits, and I assume it's supposed to give her personality that doesn't fit her anymore

i agree w/ the bust thing it's oddly based on the stereotype of shy girls having the biggest rack which i don't get because  again how does having a trait determine things like when ever does being a thing do that
i might've been misunderstood though bc i was assuming the short skirts to be knee-length-- they're usually that long like i have never seen butt-revealing lengths drawn on Shy-- so i thought it was ok
